2. Description of Service

QuickResponseCode.com is a free, browser-based QR code generator. The Service allows you to create QR codes for URLs, WiFi networks, contact cards (vCard), email addresses, phone numbers, SMS messages, geographic locations, and social media profiles. Generated QR codes may be downloaded as PNG or SVG files.

3. Use of the Service

You may use the Service to generate QR codes for lawful personal or commercial purposes. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create QR codes that link to illegal content, malware, phishing pages, or content that violates any applicable law.
• Encode personal data of others in violation of applicable privacy law.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disable, or interfere with any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service in a way that disrupts access for others.
• Represent that QR codes generated here are endorsed or certified by QuickResponseCode.com.

You are solely responsible for the content you encode in QR codes generated through the Service and for the destinations those codes point to. QuickResponseCode.com does not review, monitor, or have access to the content you encode. If a QR code you generate leads to harmful, infringing, or unlawful content, you - not QuickResponseCode.com - bear full responsibility for any resulting claims, damages, or losses.

4. Intellectual Property

The design, logo, code, and written content of QuickResponseCode.com are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. QR codes you generate using content you supply are yours. You retain all rights to any content or data you input into the generator.

5. Generated QR Codes

QR codes generated through the Service are static codes. The content is encoded directly in the QR code image at the time of creation. We do not store, track, or have access to the content of QR codes you generate. Once downloaded, the QR code files are entirely under your control and responsibility. You may use generated QR codes commercially without restriction or attribution.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee that QR codes generated will be scannable on all devices or in all conditions. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, business interruption, or losses arising from reliance on QR codes generated through the Service. Our aggregate liability to you for any direct damages arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law in your jurisdiction, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) brought by a third party and arising from or related to: (a) the content you encode in QR codes generated through the Service; (b) your unlawful use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms of Service; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

9. Third-Party Libraries

The Service uses the open-source qr-code-styling library (MIT license) for QR code generation. We are not responsible for the functionality or availability of third-party libraries used by the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to your use of the Service, are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for that purpose.

12. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
• Assignment: We may assign these Terms or any of our rights and obligations under them at any time without notice. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
• Survival: Sections 3 (Use of the Service), 4 (Intellectual Property), 5 (Generated QR Codes), 6 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 7 (Limitation of Liability), 8 (Indemnification), and 11 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution) survive any termination of these Terms.
• Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the Service due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, internet or network failures, or actions of third-party service providers.
• Electronic communications: You consent to receive communications from us electronically (such as by email or by posting on the Service), and you agree that such communications satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
• No third-party beneficiaries: These Terms do not create any rights for any person who is not a party to them.
• Termination: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, at our discretion.
