Who uses URL QR codes

Turn any link into an instant scan

A URL QR code opens a web page the moment someone points their phone camera at it. The iOS Camera app and Android's built-in scanner both read it natively, so no app download is needed. It works anywhere a typed URL fails: nobody keys in a 60-character link from a restaurant menu, a shelf tag, or a billboard, but almost everyone will scan. Use it whenever you need to move a person from a printed surface to a specific web page, such as a menu, product page, booking form, or campaign landing page.

Restaurant menus

Replace printed menus with a QR code linking to your online menu. Update prices any time without reprinting.

Product packaging

Link to product tutorials, warranty registration, or buy-again pages directly from packaging or labels.

Event programmes

Add QR codes to printed event materials to link to schedules, speaker bios, or live streams.

Retail shelf tags

Drive shoppers to product reviews, how-to videos, or special offers at the point of purchase.

Business cards

Link to your portfolio, LinkedIn profile, or booking page so contacts can act on the spot.

Print advertising

Bridge the gap between physical ads and digital campaigns. Track engagement with UTM parameters.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Any valid URL works - https websites, http, URLs with parameters, UTM tracking strings, shortened URLs, and deep links to apps. The generator encodes exactly what you type, so paste the full URL including https://.
No. URL QR codes are static - the destination is encoded directly in the code. They work forever with no subscription, no backend service, and no risk of a redirect breaking. If you want to change the destination later, simply generate a new QR code.
QR codes can technically encode up to around 2,953 bytes, but very long URLs create denser, harder-to-scan codes. For best results keep URLs under 200 characters. Use a URL shortener (like bit.ly) for longer addresses.
Yes. Paste the full URL including any UTM parameters - for example https://yoursite.com/page?utm_source=qr&utm_medium=print. Google Analytics or any analytics platform will then log the source correctly when someone scans and visits.
Download as SVG for any print use - it scales to any size with no loss of sharpness. For digital or on-screen use, PNG at 300–600px is sufficient. For large-format signage or billboards, SVG is essential.
Yes. There are no restrictions on commercial use. You can print the QR codes on product packaging, marketing materials, retail displays, or any other commercial project without attribution or fees.
